Stoyan Petrov Georgiev was born in 1964 in the village of Ovchepoltsi where he still lives. He graduated the "B. Breht" Language High School in Pazardzhik. After that Georgiev studied hotel and restaurant management in the International Tourism Institute in Burgas.
          After graduating the institute Stoyan Georgiev starts working for Balkantourist Pazardzhik in the Kamengrad Hotel in Panagyurishte.
          His contacts with a variety of people, the foreign interest in traditional Bulgarian costumes and antiques push him towards collecting traditional constumes and photographs.
          In his private collection he has acquired 50 summer and winter costumes from his own village and about 250 costumes from all over the country. He has gained knowledge and criteria for valuable items through self-education found in old carved chests - aprons, socks, sleeves, jewellery, table-cloths, items from the traditional way of life, photographs, etc.
